Fundación Wong fue creada en 1993 y ejerce liderazgo significativo en el campo educativo rural, social y ambiental. Wong Foundation was created in 1993 and exercises significant leadership in the rural, social and environmental educational field. The Wong Foundation was born in 1993 with the objective of contributing to the need for access to education identified in the rural communities near our operations. For Don Segundo Wong Mayorga, founder of the business group, it was important that the children of his workers, and all the boys and girls in the neighboring communities, had a quality education that would contribute to their development and a better future. Our programs empower communities and develop the potential of human talents, creating leaders in rural areas and technicians for companies and the country. These talents, endowed with critical thinking and values, foster productivity and promote good relations with the communities immersed in the Group's activities.
The CDIs offer care, early stimulation, food, preventive health and nutrition to boys and girls in low-income rural communities. At the same time, they promote the active participation of families in adequate child care and development.
Wong Foundation has 4 CDIs, in alliance with the Ministry of Social Education, located in the areas of Buena Fe and Patricia Pilar.
Our educational model focuses on the comprehensive development of students through a teaching process based on values and contextualized to the rural environment that promotes leadership, autonomy, responsibility and participation in decision-making related to their training. In addition, it promotes entrepreneurial skills through productive projects linked to their families or community.
Our 3 Educational Units contribute to the education of more than 600 boys, girls and young people.
